Fintech & Payments

Card-network integration, approval-rate engineering, payment-data platforms and PCI DSS-ready delivery, from a team that has shipped it with the networks.

Overview

Our team has spent years inside payments infrastructure: integrating directly with Visa, Mastercard, Discover and American Express, running payment-data platforms that handle millions of card-not-present transactions a month, and operating under PCI DSS and SOC 2 controls. We bring that depth to companies whose revenue depends on payments working.

Our approach

We design for failure first: idempotency keys, explicit transaction states, retries with backoff and dead-letter queues someone actually watches. Every lifecycle event is stored and replayable, observability is there from day one, and certification artifacts are kept as living documents.

Typical technology

AWS (Lambda, Fargate, SQS, S3, RDS, Redshift, Athena, EventBridge, Step Functions), Kafka, Python, .NET, PostgreSQL, Terraform, GitHub Actions and Datadog. We choose tools for your situation, not out of habit.

What we build

  • Network tokenization across all four major card networks
  • Multi-network account updater services
  • Approval-rate and decline-recovery engineering
  • Dispute and chargeback evidence workflows
  • Near-real-time payment-data platforms and dashboards
  • Card-network onboarding and certification
  • PCI DSS scope reduction and SOC 2-ready delivery
  • Gateway, recurring billing and reconciliation integrations

Who it is for

  • Payment service providers and processors
  • Payment orchestration and infrastructure platforms
  • Subscription and recurring-billing businesses
  • High-volume online merchants and marketplaces
  • Fintechs building cards, wallets, lending or embedded finance
In depth

What we do in fintech.

01

Network tokenization

Network tokens stay current when cards are reissued and carry cryptograms issuers trust, which lifts card-not-present approvals and reduces fraud exposure.

  • Visa Token Service (VTS), Mastercard MDES and Secure Card on File (SCOF), Discover Tokenization and the American Express token service
  • Token provisioning, per-transaction cryptograms, lifecycle events and card metadata
  • Moving card-on-file vaults to network tokens, with sensible fallback when a token is unavailable
02

Account updater

Recurring payments fail when cards are replaced or renewed. An updater refreshes stored cards before the billing run.

  • Visa Account Updater (VAU), Mastercard ABU and Real-Time Account Updater (RTAU), Discover GAU and American Express Cardrefresher behind one service
  • Batch and real-time updates, timed ahead of billing runs
  • One normalised result (new number, new expiry, closed account) with reporting per merchant and network
03

Approval-rate and decline recovery

Small improvements in approval rates are pure revenue for high-volume businesses.

  • Decline codes normalised across processors and networks
  • Soft and hard declines separated, with retries that respect card-network reattempt rules
  • Issuer and BIN-level analysis, with controlled experiments so every change is measured
04

Disputes and chargebacks

  • Visa Verifi Order Insight integration, so merchants can share enriched transaction detail with issuers
  • Evidence assembly and dispute workflows
  • Reason-code analytics to find and fix the root causes
05

Payment-data platforms

  • Near-real-time ingestion from processors and PSPs through APIs, files and webhooks
  • One normalised transaction model, warehoused for analysis
  • Merchant dashboards and monitoring of data freshness and completeness
06

Network onboarding and certification

  • Network specifications turned into a build and test plan
  • Certification test cases run with the networks
  • Go-live support and production verification
07

Compliance-ready engineering

  • PCI DSS scope reduced through tokenization and segmentation
  • SOC 2 controls built into delivery: secure development, least privilege, change management and logging
  • Audit evidence produced as a by-product of the pipeline
AI in fintech
  • Decline and dispute analysis assistants for payment analysts
  • AI-drafted chargeback evidence, approved by a person
  • KYC and KYB document checks
  • Transaction anomaly review with plain-language reasons
